small acreage
Horse Properties in Area
TOWER OAKS has some cute homes for sale right now that are set up for horses. This sub does
allow horses so even if you bought a house that was not set up you can still move them in. Our
first house was on Mile Dr and had our 2 horses on 1 acre. We built a nice pasture down one side
of it (with a small holding pen) and it already had a house along the other side. It has direct access
to a trail system and also is within walking distance of the Cypress Trail system.
Behind Tower Oaks Plaza is another subdivision that allows horses. But I do not know the name.
CYPRESS CREEK ESTATES is a wonderful sub were many many of the homes have horses in
the back. You can not even tell the horses are there! Has direct access to trail system.
LAKE CYPRESS ESTATES allows horses and is gorgeous. You will see some homes up on stilts.
Yes it has taken on water during big floods. But its worth the money to live in there. The county
bought out some of the homes and so there is great grazing and riding.
WINWOOD allows horses and has direct access to the Trail system. There are a couple lots left for
sale in here a long the creek. Some do flood. But being on the trail system is worth a million dollars
because you cant find it anywhere. So build up instead.
GRANTWOOD allows horses and has direct access also. Many of the homes have been bought
out in here by FEMA. The ones left do not flood except a couple along the creek. But those people
prefer to live in this natural sanctuary than leave it.
RAVENSWAY has there own community horse stable and also access to the Cypress Trail
System. This is where I would move if I wanted to board my horse at a community center barn.
There are some streets along Louetta that allow horses but I am drawing a blank as far as names.
One is Strack Drive. But many streets where horses can hit the trail system.
Jarvis and Hufmeister roads allow horses and are on the trail system.
ENCHANTED VALLEY allowed horses. Parts of it are like living in a tree house because they flood
in bad flood weather. But oh my gosh how gorgeous.
This is just in our neck of the woods. Cypress has a lot of opportunities for horses. Please do not
miss out on keeping horses close to Houston. We started all of the trails and need your help in
maintaining a presence.
